About us
To know Him and make Him known
Hesketh Lane Church was established in 2024 by the congregation of Hesketh Lane Methodist Church, building on a rich heritage of Christian witness while embracing a renewed vision for the future. Today, we are an Associate Member of the Free Methodist Church movement and are prayerfully working towards full membership within this global family of believers.
We are a Bible-believing church, committed to the authority of Scripture and the transforming power of the Gospel. At the heart of everything we do is a desire to know Jesus Christ more deeply and to make His love known to others.
Our purpose is simple yet profound: to share the love of Jesus within our community and beyond. We seek to be a welcoming and faithful church where people of all ages and backgrounds can encounter God, grow in their faith, and discover their calling to serve.
Whether you are exploring faith for the first time or have been part of church life for many years, you are warmly invited to join us as we worship, learn, and walk together in the love and grace of Christ.

Our beliefs
We believe there is one God in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, true word of God.
We believe Christ died on the cross for our sins and that through the shedding of his blood we have the forgiveness of our sins and by his resurrection, new life with God.
We believe that salvation is from the grace of God, and not by good deeds done by us.
We believe in the Christian sacrament of Baptism.
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a distinct work of God, imparting spiritual gifts for the work of ministry in His Church.
We believe that Christ is the sole mediator between man and God.
We are each responsible for our spiritual growth within the fellowship of the church guided by Scripture, the Holy Spirit and Prayer.
We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory, and that all must appear before the judgement seat of God.
